This is an interesting question. I will assume that by “admitted to hospital” that you mean “admitted to hospital with a covid diagnosis.” I will further assume that the diagnosis is based on a lab test which ought not be used for clinical purposes. I will not assume that covid is the primary diagnosis.

Back in March 2020, 100% of those admitted to hospital were unvaccinated. Now, the majority of those admitted are vaccinated, but the percent vaccinated has also been increasing with time.

In order to avoid statistical errors, one must not include the unvaccinated before the vaccination rollout began, or the conclusion is biased.
