An analysis from Quinn et al has concluded the prized government non-pharmacological interventions (NPI) (masking, social distancing, lockdowns, travel restrictions etc.) and mass vaccination had little or no impact in the occurrence of cases or death in Europe. Instead the seasonality of other human beta-coronaviruses influenced the models.
