UT NOTE: It becomes more apparent that Russia has intervened in a classic civil war in Ukraine. Was this a failure by the US of control for unintended consequences of its coup in Ukraine that triggered the breakaway by disrespected, terrorized and murdered ethnic Russians in eastern Ukrainian states? “Civil war” may not be the appropriate designation since it was begun with / by foreign intervention (USA) and, because of that, necessitated another foreign intervention (Russia).
