UT NOTE: Anthropogenic global warming or natural climate change is irrelevant when considering the human response which is itself another marketing campaign to put more public money in the pockets of the already rich. The belief that science and tech can be used to defeat Nature is as big a counterproductive folly as is the notion that we can vaccinate ourselves against the evolutionary process. Materialists and their continued belief that Nature is a machine that can be dominated by “mechanics” ( for a profit, no less) is complicating climate chaos — see climate geoengineering — rather than being applied to develop global resilience in the face of all naturally fluctuating natural processes.
Update (2030ET): As was expected earlier, California power usage surged to a record high this afternoon raising the emergency status of the state’s electrical system to the highest possible level amid a blistering heat wave, which means rolling blackouts are imminent.
