UT NOTE: I still think that the Gore-amplified rush to the profitable alternative energy myth is a myth. The only possible future that is livable for more than the absurdly wealthy technopaths is by way of decentralization and a Burning Man style ritual in which we “burn” the bonfire of American Dream consumption and comfort. Pretty much everything industrial humans have touched has been fucked up to the point where untouched eons may be needed for Nature to restore some order and potential. Basic needs must be bio-regionalized and scaled to long term not short-term visions. Seven generation mindset might be a good place to begin.
