Disrupt the System

The chaos in Israel is off the charts. Testing lines snake around for hours, children are being shoved into quarantine over and over, classes are attended sparsely, and nobody knows what the HELL is going on. Rules change by the hour, WhatsApp groups are nonstop questions about where/when/who needs to get tested and go into quarantine. Here’s a quick review of the emails I’ve received over the last 2 days from my daughter’s former elementary school (I took her out of school in March 2020, and they never took me off the list)

Email 1: Informed parents that the national “vaccinate your kids in school” campaign is coming to their school Thurs, Jan 6. They attached a parent consent form and the general flier from the Ministry of Health regarding the children’s vaccination campaign.

Email 2: They understand that it’s a really confusing time, and there’s a lot of Corona around. Please don’t forget to send in your kids with masks, and make sure they know to wear them properly.

They included the name and email address of the “corona czar” in the school, who is handling all corona and quarantine-related logistics. She’s obviously very busy right now, so you can send her an email and she’ll eventually respond. They then urged parents to “strongly consider” vaccinating their children in the following day’s vaccination drive at the school.

Email 3: The vaccination drive was pushed until next Thursday. We strongly urge you to consider vaccinating your child so they can avoid getting infected, long quarantines, and serious illness (This email made me see red).

Email 4: Unfortunately, your daughter’s class has to go into quarantine (they JUST got out of one).

If your daughter is vaccinated, she can go get a test and then return to school.

If your daughter is NOT vaccinated, she needs to go into quarantine for 7 days, and then test to return to school. They actually included a line that said that the rules don’t always make sense to them either, but they don’t make the rules, they just follow them.

They then attached a class schedule that would be held on Zoom, and just the sight of it made me want to throw up.

What are we doing to our kids?! The level of stress that this is imposing on our children is off the charts. They’re prisoners in an asylum run by the insane. It’s time for educators to start pushing back and protecting the children. We’ve entrusted them with caring for our children for the majority of their waking hours, and they’re failing. Big time.

As for the Green Pass, we have one absolute hero named Dean. He’s been going around the country to 3-4 malls per day, and he informs people that they’re free to choose what to do with their bodies, informs the stores who enforce the Green Pass that they’re partaking in segregation, and he peacefully reminds policemen that they work for us, the people, not the other way around, and as living, breathing citizens we have full rights to breathe fresh air without a mask on our face. We have to peacefully disrupt this broken system in any way we can, or nothing will break it. It’s turned into a giant out-of-control monster with no brake mechanism in place besides for us, the people.

On that note, I’m excited to report that Paper the Hell out of Them is being printed up as I write this. Thank you SO much to those of you who contributed to the campaign. The first print run will be distributed ASAP.

I’m thinking the first 2 copies will go straight to the desks of my local Mayor, and the principal of my daughter’s former school. After that, it’s on to Jerusalem.
