If the planet belongs to ALL the people, then we are, in this era of CV-19, witnessing global thievery and greed by the wealthiest and most powerful people and a hyped flu-like epidemic that is being used by these people to put full and final control of all things that are potentially a threat to the sustainabilty of their wealth and power.
Fascism, Communism, or Feudalism?
Your choice.
Corporate control of the rules of the game, government control of the rules of the game, or Aristocratic control of the rules of the game?
All are forms of oligarchies featuring centralized totalitatian control “managed” by a ruling elite.

Oligarchy, government by the few, especially despotic power exercised by a small and privileged group for corrupt or selfish purposes. Oligarchies in which members of the ruling group are wealthy or exercise their power through their wealth are known as plutocracies.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power”
― Benito Mussolini

Communism. “We can and must write in a language which sows among the masses hate, revulsion, and scorn toward those who disagree with us.” — Vladimir Lenin

Feudalism. Totalitarianism is feudalism in the twelfth century sense of the word. —Barbara Amiel
Or Democracy?
The health of a democracy is in direct proportion to its size. The larger the democratic organization or government., then the more likely corruption will infect and neutralize the power of the governed.
With 330 million citizens and over 2-million employees, the USA is and has been for some time ungovernable. It is right now an oligarchy that feels insecure with such a disproportionate amount of wealth and so outnumbered by the people it has used to gain that wealth.
In desparation, powerful people will do whatever it takes to protect and preserve their power, even invent a disease to scare and selectively shrink the size of the threat against them

“Democracy is essentially anti-authoritarian – that is, it not only demands the right but imposes the responsibility of thinking for ourselves.” — John Dryden
