The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is coming for any physician or pharmacy that promotes ivermectin as a drug that can “prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019.” Recently, FDA Acting Branch Chief Shannon Glueck wrote a letter to the Federation of State Medical Boards informing them that they have received complaints that the antiparasitic drug was being offered for sale with claims that it could treat or prevent the novel coronavirus. The FDA is now putting licensing boards on notice.
