UT NOTE: At the superfluous level of reality referred to as “politics”, the global response to emerging <~~> surging populism seems to have dumbed-down leadership everywhere. My question, accompanied by speculation, is Have the Establishment lords, leaders and wannabes become so unhinged in their hubris that they make every decision based on how loud is the sound of pitchforks being sharpened? Democracies are not failing because they are bad ideas; they are failing because the governments charged with managing them have become ossified institutional dinosaurs. Dinosaur fossils are insensitive and unresponsive. I point my finger at the myth of “bigger is better”, an underlying slogan that is herding us all into the slaughterhouse of global centralization.
Matt Taibbi makes the case that if Democrats don’t change their tune on parental influence in school curriculum, they’re doomed in 2022.
